1 & 2 Smithfield
The first phase of development comprised 210,000 sq ft of Grade A office space, 1 Smithfield includes a public sector hub from which Stoke-on-Trent City Council delivers front line services. The development was also awarded an BREEAM “Excellent” rating, a first for the city and putting Smithfield within the top 10% of new non-domestic buildings in the UK. 2 Smithfield is fully occupied by major private sector businesses. In total 1 & 2 Smithfield are home to 1,700 workers.
The first phase of Clayworks created 151 studio, one and two bedroom apartments for rental, another first of it’s kind for Stoke-on-Trent. Completed in October 2020 the apartments are fully occupied with a thriving community that calls Smithfield home. WIth rooftop garden, residents lounge and private courtyard Clayworks was designed to create positive urban dwelling.
The Hilton Garden Inn hotel has created a visitor experience not previously available in the city centre. State of the art bedrooms with gym and meeting room facilities. Also home to a branded restaurant and bar the hotel had added to the growing leisure scene in Hanley.
Six is the new cocktail bar housed with the hotel but open to all it offers a contemporary environment with it’s own outdoor terrace area to enjoy a morning coffee or evening cocktails.
Restaurant Six offers a relaxed atmosphere serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. Serving classic dishes and indulgent delights – share great food, drinks and cocktails in a contemporary, relaxed environment.
Part of the next phase of development will be able to accommodate new businesses to Smithfield with various numbers of employees. The 61,000sq.ft (5,647sq.m.) 3 Smithfield can be let as a whole or in parts – designed to accommodate single or multiple occupants without any compromise on the space occupied.
