Join the British Ceramics Biennial for the Transferer Project exhibition and see the students’ work and the journey the project has taken.
This exhibition celebrates the work that students from Thistley Hough Academy and Haywood Academy have done over the last 12 months. The students have been developing concepts, designing and making artworks, and been involved with curating and marketing this exhibition.
Held at the Smithfield Retail Space, on the corner of the Hilton Hotel, Potteries Way.
Opening night Friday 19 July 4:30-7pm
Open to visitors 20-25 July 10am-4pm.

Connects is a not-for-profit, relaxed and informal networking opportunity facilitated by number of local business owners in the Staffordshire area who enjoy bringing people together and promoting the many positive aspects of local community.
The guest speaker for this session is Darren Washington from Centre Space Arts.

Join us for a day at the beach unlike any other in this high energy, circus theatre show!
Perfect for the whole family, Everywhere’s a Beach is a charmingly ridiculous performance taking place on a giant revolving beach parasol!
This dynamic, dizzying and downright daft show will leave you dancing with delight!
You’ll be swept away as this show embraces everything we love about the beach. Our spinning parasol creates the perfect setting for our eccentric beach loving characters. Watch as their world collides with yours, as sophistication turns to chaos in this aerial circus performance.
Everywhere’s a Beach takes place opposite Two Smithfield, Leonard Coates Way, Hanley.
Friday 23rd & Saturday 24th August
Circus Raj – some of Rajasthan’s most elite street circus performers – will amaze you with breathtaking acts of skill and bravery.
The cast of aerialists, acrobats, musicians, slack-rope walkers, giant puppets characters and the eye-watering displays by their fakir, present a colourful, vibrant, fast-moving extravaganza of intrigue, drama, feats of daring, music, laughter and surprise.
Circus Raj will be at Smithfield at the following times:
Saturday 24th August, starting 2:05PM
Prepare to embark on a journey. Let’s weave and howl. Let each movement tell a story.
Let’s come together and celebrate the power of community, of daring to build extraordinary things…
Award-winning experimental brass band Perhaps Contraption will be leading the way.
Expect a curious, jubilant parade, replete with intricate rhythms, expressive motions, and a healthy dose of hope.
The Journey starts at 2:05pm at the Town Hall, and will walk through the city to end at Smithfield at approximately 2:45pm.

PHP Stoke is a free meet-up in Stoke-on-Trent. Meet local developers, learn about PHP and enjoy some food and drink.
Hosted at Smithfield Works, Lower Ground Floor Clayworks.

If you have any questions surrounding the content of consumables, please contact the supplier and / or Event Manager where appropriate. Food and drink is supplied on a first-come-first-served basis subject to demand.
