Located just a 10 minute drive from Smithfield is a small yoga studio, Ananda Yoga Kula. This centre keeps yoga true to its roots, offering a variety of different styles including Hatha Yoga, Vinyasa Flow and Children’s Yoga. 

The studio’s teachers are all qualified to at least 200 hours of training, and run friendly and relaxed classes for all levels. Ananda Yoga Kula also run regular workshops, monthly donation classes for charity, meditation, mantra, sound healing and a yoga philosophy group. Maxine Thomas Yoga

Maxine Thomas is a yoga instructor with a wealth of experience. She has taught Hatha Yoga since 2004, with an emphasis on mindfully moving the body through the breath (as opposed to the sweaty, faster paced Vinyasa Flow workout). Maxine is qualified with the Comprehensive Yoga Fellowship and the British Wheel of Yoga.

Maxine offers classes for all: beginners, mixed ability and experienced Yogis. These classes run out of a variety of locations around the Stoke-on-Trent area – none are more than a 15 minute drive from Smithfield. 

Maxine also runs online zoom classes as well as offering one-to-one yoga teaching from the comfort of your own home. Those suffering with non specific recurring/chronic lower back pain can also contact her for details of the Yoga For Healthy Lower Backs course.

Love & Light Yoga with Natalie 

Love & Light Yoga with Natalie was born in 2012, when she qualified as a yoga teacher with the Comprehensive Yoga Fellowship. She has a strong belief that yoga can have a positive life changing effect. 

Natalie’s expertise spans a range of styles including Hatha Yoga, outdoor yoga and meditation. Also, having two sons inspired her to deepen her practice by qualifying in Pregnancy, Postnatal and Children’s Yoga, and Baby Massage – she offers classes for all of these styles.

In her classes, Natalie offers lots of alternative positions, so there is something for all abilities. Once more, her classes receive excellent reviews, as can be seen on her Facebook page.
