The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in Stoke-on-Trent

Back to News

As everyone gears up for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee (and much-needed four day weekend), we have put together the ultimate guide for what’s on in Stoke-On-Trent. From parties to feasts,, there will be a whole host of ways to fill your weekend full of celebrations.

The Queen’s Jubilee at Smithfield

With Smithfield’s beach now back in business, it would be rude not to celebrate Her Majesty’s platinum jubilee in the sand!

From 10am – 4pm on the 3rd and 4th June, we’ll have deck chairs set up around the beach alongside some garden games that everyone can enjoy, as well as some toys on the beach for the little ones.

Food will also be on site in the form of (yes, you guessed it) a barbeque, as well as Stoke’s own delicacy, oatcakes.

Stoke Indoor Market Jubilee Party

Stoke Indoor Market will be putting on a family-friendly party. The market will see Disney princesses, a circus skills workshop and other live entertainment.

You will also be able to grab fish and chips and a doughnut at the planet doughnut pop-up.

Trentham Gardens and Shopping Village Weekend Event

The Shopping Village and Gardens has a whole Jubilee weekend in-store with a host of British entertainment.

With lots of activities for the children and daily changing of the guard ceremonies, there will be something for everyone.

More details will be coming soon, so keep an eye out on the Trentham Estate website.

The Dog and Partridge Events

The Dog and Partridge pub is holding three events for the royal celebrations.

A live performance from Ignition will take place from 7 pm – 9 pm on Friday, followed by The Hairy Bartenders on Saturday from 3 pm – 5 pm.

The pub will finish off the Jubilee weekend with a street food event from Smashed Bro’s.

Bradley Stoke Community Festival

The festival will commence on Friday the 4th with a picnic in the park for parents and toddlers between 10:30 am and 2 pm. The celebrations include a magic show, a bouncy castle and live music.

The following day will see a skate half-pipe showing displays by professional riders as well as sessions for the public to have a go. ‘Paint a board’ sessions will also be available for children throughout the day as well as music, rides, a climbing wall and arts and craft stalls.

On Sunday, the 10k race will take place at 9:30, beginning at the Jubilee Centre.

Your City Festival

The festival will span across the 2nd/3rd/4th of June at a number of different locations throughout the city centre including The Sugarmill, The Underground, The Back Yard, Airspace Gallery, The Werkroom, Cullä.

The first wave of artists have been announced and will include Anu, Double Helix, Onyda, and Claylake, with many more artists being revealed closer to the time.

Happy Jubilee Celebrations!

So there, you have it. A huge range of activities for the whole family to enjoy. We hope you have a brilliant Jubilee weekend and a rest as well!

Please don’t hesitate to get in contact if you have any other great events that you think should have their place in the ultimate guide.
