Top places to go for pancakes in and around Stoke-On-Trent this Pancake Day

Back to News

Don’t fancy the mess and stress of Pancake Day this year? While pancakes are a universally loved sweet treat, sometimes we’d rather avoid a flour-covered kitchen and look elsewhere for our pancake fix. So, if you’re eating out this Pancake Day, we’ve rounded up some of our favourite spots, whether your preference is American-style or French-style, sweet or savoury. Take a look below for some of the best places to go for pancakes in and around Stoke-On-Trent this Pancake Day.

The Crepe and Waffle House, Trentham

If you’re after delicious crepes, with big portions, vegetarian and vegan options, look no further than The Crepe and Waffle House. Located at the Trentham Estate, they have options galore, with a whole host of sweet and savoury pancake choices to get stuck into. Will you go for ‘The Fried Chicken One’ or ‘The Banana Nutella One’? Each and every crepe sounds absolutely delicious. If you’re bringing the kids along, The Crepe and Waffle House also hosts children’s parties, where the kids can create their own crepe with a selection of toppings, sauces and ice cream.

BEAR Coffee, Stone

Housed in a stunning ex-bank building on Stone’s historic High Street, BEAR Coffee’s brunch menu boasts some tasty dishes, but would it really be brunch without pancakes? They have three tantalising pancake options, including American-style maple bacon and fried-chicken topped fluffy pancake stacks. For a slightly healthier twist, their banana and berry pancakes are not one to miss. BEAR is the busiest coffee spot in town, and it’s no wonder.

Little Desert Shop, Hanley Town Centre

For a little indulgence this Pancake Day, head to the Little Dessert Shop, an award-winning brand serving handcrafted crepes amongst coffee, waffles, cakes, cheesecakes, cookie dough and gelato. They have some inventive crepe flavours to get your taste buds tingling, from ‘Chunky Monkey’ with fudge and milk chocolate, to their ‘Secret Sensations’ option of a crepe sprinkled with red velvet cake.

Sweet, Hanley

Sweet offers a unique, modern take on desserts, serving an array of contemporary sweet treats – of course, including pancakes. Located in Hanley, their delicious flavour combinations leave nothing to be desired. Our personal favourites include Bananatella – a match-made-in-heaven mixture of banana and Nutella, and Ferrero Rocher-style crepes, of course served with creamy gelato.

Agie & Katie, Burslem

For a slightly different take on pancakes this Pancake Day, let award-winning restaurant Agie and Katie transport you to Poland with their traditional Polish dishes. All of their meals are made with the freshest and finest quality ingredients, and their savoury potato pancakes are packed with flavour. Pay this charming restaurant a visit for a friendly and welcoming atmosphere and something a little different.
