Back to News

It’s National Beer Day today, a UK favourite! It would be rude not to celebrate by visiting some of the best bars and pubs in Stoke-on-Trent for a pint! We’ve picked out five of the best places for a pint this week in the Stoke area so you can be sure to visit one, or even all of them!

The Coachmakers Arms

Of course, we’re starting off with an old, traditional style pub, The Coachmakers arms. The building that now houses the classic pub was originally a terraced house, built in the early 1800s and became a beer house somewhere between 1860 and 1870.

The Coachmakers arms serve a large selection of beers, with lots of real ales including Twin Pins limited edition Pale ale, McConnel’s Cream Vanilla Stout and Peloton Pale, but prides itself on offering the best pint of Bass in the city!

Bloom

Who said getting a pint can’t be luxurious? Slightly newer to the party is Bloom, a cocktail bar serving all sorts of drinks, but most importantly… beer. With a range of draught beers, bottles and IPA. Not only can you grab a pint, but Bloom offers live music and entertainment throughout the week. This instagrammable bar combines beauty and beer!

Bloom is based in Hanley’s cultural quarter, right near the Regent Theatre.

London Road Ale House

London Road Ale House supports microbreweries from all across the country, making it the perfect spot for national beer week!

They serve six main draught ales which are changed regularly and always include a couple of local choices.

Featuring in The Good Beer Guide 2022, the ale house has a great reputation and many glowing reviews.

BottleCraft

BottleCraft is both a bar and craft beer shop, so whether you fancy celebrating national beer week out on the town or in the comfort of your own home, BottleCraft is the place to go.

The modern bar offers hundreds of different real ales, craft beers, stouts, porters, lagers, continental beers and ciders. Their beer is sourced from 80 different breweries from all over the world.

Many visitors commend the fantastic bartenders and waiters, so don’t worry if you’re struggling to decide… the knowledgeable and enthusiastic staff are on hand to help you get the best out of your celebrations.

Bod

Bod Stoke is a Staffordshire Brewery pub. The brewery has won lots of awards and has 14 pubs across the UK.

Bod serves over 20 beers from their very own brewery across a range of cask, keg, mini keg and bottles.

Staffordshire Brewery says that “Every beer has to be distinctive, refreshing and darn right quaffable before it is given the right to display our famous Titanic badge”. So, if you choose to head to Bod this National Beer Day, you know you’re getting the best of the best.
