Big Sleep Out with Brighter Futures

Smithfield is supporting a Big Brighter Sleep Out, which is being organised by Brighter Futures in a bid to raise funds for winter essentials for rough sleepers.

Volunteers and supporters are invited to experience what rough sleepers go through by joining the Brighter Futures Stoke-on-Trent sleep out on Friday 26 September, between 7pm – 6am, at the Smithfield estate.

Entertainment and activities will be taking place from 7-10:30pm, with a quiet time following between the hours of 11pm-5:30am.

Funds raised from the Big Sleep Out will go towards winter packs to include hats, gloves, scarves, hand warmers, flasks and more essentials to help the most vulnerable people stay warm and make the cold nights a little more bearable.

The packs will be handed out by the Brighter Futures Rough Sleeper Outreach Team and Hanley Connect Homeless Hub in partnership with Stoke-on-Trent City Council.

Genr8, Staffordshire Police, Regent Theatre, The Centenary team, Stoke-on-Trent City Council and Stoke-on-Trent City Centre BID are all supporting the Big Sleep Out.

Brighter Futures is a non-profit Registered Provider of Social Housing and Supported Accommodation based in Stoke-on-Trent.
