6 things you can do this Halloween and Bonfire Night in Stoke

It’s official! The temperature is dropping, Pumpkin-spice lattes are on sale and the dark mornings and evenings are here, which can only mean one thing… autumnal festivities are here!  

With Halloween right round the corner, and Bonfire Night shortly to follow, we’ve rounded up the best events taking place in Stoke-on-Trent that you can enjoy with family and friends. 

  1. Halloween Pottery Painting – World of Wedgwood, 20th September – 3rd November 2023 

Get in the Halloween spirit and unlock your inner ghoul with pottery painting in the Wegwood Decorating Studio. Choose from ghosts, pumpkins, lanterns and more in the fun-filled activity suitable for the whole family!

2. Halloween Critter Trail – Middleport Pottery, 21st October – 5th November 2023 

This half term, join the team from LoveKnott Creations as they attempt to find the Halloween Critters who have escaped from Harper Street! Follow the clues and wander around Port Street Range, Harper Street and Canalside to locate these beastly creaturesto be in with the chance of winning a Halloween-themed treat.

3. The Big Halloween Street Party – Stoke-on-Trent City Centre, – 28th October 2023 

Be prepared for a day of frightfully fun performances and activities brought to you by Stoke-on-Trent City Centre Business Improvement District. Taking place between 11am-5pm, you can expect a fancy dress parade, a creepy cookie decorations station, live entertainment and artisan market, not to mention a spooktacular atmosphere!

4. Halloween Spooktacular – Mitchell Arts Centre, 1st November 2023 

Get ready for a spooktacular production brought to you by the Made to Measure Productions team, as they welcome you to enjoy the journey of a trio of intrepid explorers as they embark on an adventure of a lifetime! Expect lots of audience participation to help the characters unlock the secrets of a derelict castle in this mind-blowing world of magic and illusion.

5. Alton Towers Ultimate Fireworks – 3rd to 5th November 2023 

It’s your last chance to experience the exhilarating, world-beating rides and attractions before the open season comes to and end! Not only that, but you’ll also get to experience the infamous fireworks display, guaranteed to dazzle and delight.

6. Abbey Hulton United FC Annual Bonfire and Fireworks Display – Drayton Beaumont Park, 4th November 2023 

It’s Bonfire Night at The Abbey! Join the local community for a night of hot food, drinks, stalls and a breathtaking fireworks display. Entry for adults is £2, whilst under 16s will be charged £1. Gates open at 6pm, with the firework display kicking off at 8pm.
