This past weekend played host to the official launch of our Christmas festivities here at Smithfield and they certainly helped us to get into the holiday spirit!
For us, it’s all about community engagement and that’s why we began the celebrations with a members social at Smithfield Works. Suite holders and hot deskers joined us for a pizza party as we reflected on what a great year 2023 has been. We were also joined by the team at Stoke-on-Trent Bid, who shared more info on the festive ‘Giving Together’ campaign, which aims to encourage donations of food, drink, and gifts for those less fortunate this Christmas. Smithfield Works is proud to be a collection point for those wanting to donate this year.
The Christmas cheer was well and truly shared with our Hanley community, too, as we hosted a Christmas tree light switch on for all to enjoy.
We were serenaded by the wonderful sounds of Music in You, who performed some festive classics, as neighbouring Hilton Garden Inn provided mince pies and mulled wine. To top it all off, our very own Santa did the honours.
The merry fun continued on Saturday, amongst the backdrop of some very wintry, snowy weather! The showstopping LED Bauble Head performers, who certainly brought the party to Smithfield.
Whilst our celebrations for the weekend are over, we’re still bringing the Christmas spirit to Smithfield for the remainder of the month. Most importantly, are encouraging our Smithfield Works members to donate non-perishables to the ‘Giving Together’ campaign. Our collection box can be found in the entrance of Smithfield Works until Friday 15th December.
